Moroccan Nana Mint

According to Greek mythology, Menthe was a beautiful water nymph who fell in love with the God of the Underworld, Hades. One day, the wife of Hades Persephone, stumbled across her husband with Menthe. Enraged with jealousy and anger, Persephone took revenge by transforming Menthe into a small plant where she could easily be stepped upon. Hades however showed mercy for Menthe, so he blessed her with the sweet smelling, everlasting scent, which nowadays is known as the plant Mint.

Presently, mint is not only known for its medicinal and culinary properties, it is also a symbol of hospitality in many cultures. Bursting with flavour, mint has a sweet flavour with a cool after taste. Mint can relieve symptoms of indigestion, be a very good cleanser for the blood, ease and unblock the breathing and respiratory passages and airways and relieve the symptoms of colds and flu. This herb is also filled with many vitamins and minerals.
