Premium White

White Tea

This tea is harvested traditionally in the Fujian Province of China. It is made from especially young leaves and buds. The very fine, silvery white hairs on the unopened buds endow the plant with a whitish appearance. They do not get oxidised, it is the least processed tea, the young buds are harvested and air-dried right away. The beverage itself is a pale yellow in colour once it is brewed and very light and delicate in taste.

This tea has many health benefits due to the presence of polyphenols and a high concentration of anti-oxidants, the shorter processing means that the tea leaves hold on to more catechins than other varieties of tea. Catechins are a type of polyphenol that may trigger a potent antioxidant effect on free radicals when consumed.
